I'm thinking of making it for my Mystery Host in a couple of weeks. Really want to show off that baker.

I made it twice this weekend. The first time I followd the recipe to the letter. My husband thought there was too much garlic so the second batch I left it out and combined them. For us it was perfect. also mu husband likes things hot so i made sure I had jalopenos is a jar so he could add them to his bowl.
It was very easy and very healthy.

I haven't made the version in the microwave, but the regular version just on the stovetop is really quick too. I did that one and it was yummy! I just booked an appetizer show for the day after Thanksgiving, but this recipe might work really well!

I followed your advice when I made it a couple of nights ago and cut back a little on the garlic. It was delicious! We only had one little bowl left that my husband and I were fighting for the next day at lunch. My MIL is requesting that I make 2 batches tomorrow night for everyone at her house so that I can make one vegetarian. I'm looking forward to having it again already.

Mmm....you have inspired me to try this now. I was trying to think of a November show recipe to show off the baker. I did the pork all through Sept and I don't want to do the chicken. I think this recipe might be the ticket!

I can throw together a Trifle while it's cooking and make Garlic Bites in the Cookware before everyone gets there and we'll have a full meal! YUM!!!

Plus if you are having really big attendence- just add another can of chili and black beans and a little more of the Southwest Seasoning. People loved it at my Mystery Host!

We had it for dinner on Friday - perfect on a rainy day! It was GREAT! And we enjoyed the left overs all weekend (just 2 of us).

Made it Saturday night for my family and it was great. Of course my DS didn't touch it (he is 3 yo after all) but my DH loved it. I think it would work really well for a show demo.
