Some consultants are really on a tight budget especially at this time of year. If I sense this in advance I will suggest if they have time visit some rummage sales and find some cute seasonal accents and maybe a holiday themed table cloth. Also a box of 99 cent candy canes and some leftover red and green bows will do the trick.
I also use holiday colored wrapped candy in and around my display. Just be careful with chocolate if they have dogs.

Or they can just borrow a few things from their home decorations for the shows. Adding a few ribbons and/or tissue paper on things make them festive.

I would have to say that I've sold quite a few rectangle platters b/c I've decorated it w/the season....halloween I used candy corns & now I've got mini decorations from walmart w/3 candles & some ribbon....it was total maybe a $10.00 investment.
Instead of buying the decorations maybe use what they have already.

The dollar store also has some great choices.

All great ideas! Yes I am a huge curly ribbon fan. A little bit her and a little bit there. Plus take some gift tags and use the witty sayings like "Whisking you a Merry Christmas" or" To the Grillmaster"!

Glass ornaments in the Trifle Bowl. Use what you have at home or buy a cheap box at WalMart.

I also tie some ribbon on my 3 Tier Stand and everyone loves it. I buy ribbon after Christmas on clearance and use it the next year for stuff like this. :)

Oh- yes cheap ribbon! You can get the beautiful ribbon bolts really cheap a few days after Christmas. I always like to hold out for the 75% off.
