Last year was my first trip PC style. I didn't take my children. For the Choice is yours I promised my 2 boys ( 7 and 10) that they could go this time. So now as I prepare to buy them in soon, I'm searching for air. It is NOT cheap that week from my local airport. I have searched other airports. To get a decent rate we would have to drive about 3-4 hours south first.
Anyone have suggestions? I was told to book it myself and not let the PC planner do it, cause I will pay much more.

I haven't but when we were on our PC cruise there was a couple with 2 children. They said that they took the travel cash and with the prices they got for air fair on their own they were able to pay the difference for the kids on the cruise! I sure would at least look into it!

Good question! I took my kids to San Francisco last year. Because I live in CA we drove there and got the $600 travel allowance in cash for gas. The cruise will be another story IF I were to take them. They enjoyed it so much I wish I could afford to buy them in.

I am not taking my son on the cruise--no way, no how!!! This is mommy and daddy time!

yeah I usually think that way. But in 2006 my husband I did a trip to Jamaica, just us. (ahhh)
Then 2007 was San Fran just us. So we owe it to them and they are such big supporters in my business. My 10 yr old can't wait to go snorkling.
As much as I would love a just the 2 trip. Plus with it being school break that week, it is harder to get a sitter for them that whole time.
