I just got home from my recruit's first show. It was awesome. I am going to try to do this with every new consultant I sign.

She submitted her agreement on Monday night, got her products on Wednesday, and her grand opening show was today. Did I mention she works full time too? So she had NO time to go through anything.

I got there about 1.5 hrs before show time and went over all paperwork with her. I think that helped a lot.

We did Jerk Chix Nachos--very informal, more interactive. Everyone did a little something. It was hard for me not to lead, but I think Lupe really learned a lot by hearing me respond to questions, etc.

Sales were $354 with only FOUR guests AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON BOOKED A SHOW!!!!! I am so excited and so is Lupe. All of the shows are within her first 30 days, so she will get the knives AND a buttload of PC dollars.

I am going to make sure I can do this from now on. Not only does it give me an opportunity to go over some business basics in person (which I've had a hard time doing up until now) but then I can also get all the bookings for my new team members as well which will get them off to a great start.

WAHOO!!

I have noticed that when I go to my new consultant's first show they always seem to get at least one or two recruit leads. I told my Director I would go to her next show and see if it worked for her too! ;) She has a couple that went inactive over the holidays and needs to rebuild her team. Heck so do I. When Jane promoted she took half of my team .

Great job Deb!

How did you encourage the bookings to be in the next 4 weeks?

That's awesome!!! Great idea. I'll keep that in mind to try to do for my local folks. I'm bummed....that LIa Sophia rep was going to come with me to my show today to observe since she hadn't been to a show in years, but the show was cancelled because nobody was coming!:( We're meeting anyway today at Starbucks and she's coming to big kick-off/Sampling of the PC on Feb 4th, so I'm hoping she'll sign! It's looking pretty good. I will keep that in mind about going to her first show, although I think her first show will be an open house that I originally was going to be part of that she invited me to. That's what got this whole thing started.:)

THanks for sharing!!!!

Thanks! We just told everyone that she needed to have the shows done in her first 30 days to earn more stuff (the knives, extra PC dollars) and become a qualified consultant.

I have stopped stressing about needing time to mail out invites and stuff. Personal phone calls are SOOOOO much more effective. I just had a show on Tuesday and the host called everyone on Friday & Saturday to invite them (so just 3-4 days in advance) and she had 13 people there. When we don't freak about the quick turn around the hosts don't either.
