I signed a new consultant today at a funeral. Yes, you read that correctly--at a funeral.
My stepmom's mom died so we went to the services today and to lunch at her and my dad's house afterwards. My stepmom's SIL loves to cook and we got talking (I did not bring up Pampered Chef--I think my stepmom or my dad mentioned it since they wanted to see the CN), I showed her a catalog, and she asked ME about joining!
By the time I left, I had a signed agreement from the SIL. She's from FL so now I have team members in two states! Woo hoo!!!
You just never know....you should always be prepared. I have a small supply of paperwork in my car, so I ran out and got an agreement and she filled it out.

Well Deb, that is the most unusual place I have heard of for finding a new recruit. However, it really is inspiring and drives home the point of always being prepared.
Thank you for sharing!

Wow, Deb. That's awesome!! How in the world do you get them to sign on the spot? I've never had that happen! What wording did you use to get them to sign right then and there? That's so awesome!!! Although the circumstances are sad. :(

You know, she basically talked herself into it and I really didn't need to say anything to get her to sign right then and there. She wanted to wait and just go home and sign online, but I learned my lesson on that one more than once. ;)
So I slipped out to the car and brought an agreement in and told her to fill it out and then we would talk and I would turn it in when she gave me permission to do so.
