Last week I signed a Spanish Consultant who also speaks English. She signed on Monday, got her kit on Friday and did her first cooking show on Saturday. She was a past consultant, too. I also found out that she is now the ONLY Spanish Consultant in the STATE of IDAHO!!! There are English Consultants who also speak Spanish, but she will be the one to get the leads if and when they happen. So, I have a few questions:
1. Do I train her any differently (or focus on aspects that I might not focus on with English Consultants)?
2. How do I help her build her team?
3. Do I do recognition differently?
4. What don't I know that I don't know?

I have a spanish consultant and I treat her the same way I treat my other girls.

I didn't necessarily mean I would treat her different. I just have no information on the Hispanic culture and don't know if there is something extra I should do or if there is something I should focus on more or less.

There are a series of 4 courses she can take part of a New Consultant Academy course. It starts this Thursday at 7pm Pacific time. Once they complete all 4 calls (an hour each) they will get a neat certificate and Pampered Chef dollars. Have her call 888-PC-Exito to sign up. The number to call is 866-246-6862, they will give her the access code. This will give her a great start and answer a lot of questions. She can also take some of the same Teleclasses we have in Spanish, they are tailored to the Hispanic Market and some of the differences she will encounter. Hope that helps. :)

When I started I was the ONLY Hispanic Market Consultant in all of Los Angeles!! That was amazing to me and it gave me the drive and motivation to give it a go... Talk to her about that and the potential, she will be the very first Hispanic Market Director in that state as well. The HO takes notice and when she comes to conferences she will be among the few that go from our Market. Tell her this may not last very long as we grow so taking advantage of that now is smart. :)

Addie, I have offered a few bilingual/spanish speaking, nice people I've come into contact with about looking into Pampered Chef. I have told them that PC has a great need for people that are bilingual and that this is an exciting opportunity. Is there a better way to word that? I'm hoping that I'm sharing how wonderful this could be, and that they can speak 2 languages fluently because I can not. I would love your feedback.
